Do you remember? A few months ago, we described the perfume family of aromatics in detail (what’s that? No recollection?). Don’t worry, we’ll give you a little recap.
The olfactory family of the aromatics often echoes fresh and herb-filled notes, especially herbs like sage, thyme, rosemary, mugwort, and many more! (They really evoke a sunny trip around the Mediterranean, don’t they?) In particular, lavender remains the absolute reference for this unique family (an odour which plunges us every time into our childhood memories, conjuring up country gardens).
These aromatic aspects couple very nicely with citrus, aquatic or even spicy notes. There are a great many perfumes which have adopted this scent universe, and which are widely known to the general public today – Aqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani, The Scent Intense by Hugo Boss, CK One Summer by Calvin Klein, etc.
Not sure which scent to choose? Let us guide you. We have prepared a Top 5 of our all-time favourite aromatic perfumes for you:
POUR UN HOMME BY CARON
This emblematic perfume of the aromatic family, created in 1934, is still turning heads to this day. A trail of lavender, warmed by notes of vanilla and amber, to which have been added dimensions of musk and wood – the ULTIMATE mix!
EAU SAUVAGE BY DIOR
The first masculine perfume from Dior remains an icon. A classic found in men’s bathrooms the world over! It is a light and fresh aromatic, with floral and transparent notes (this is thanks to the addition of hedione, the star ingredient in this blend!) which couples with the woody touches to create a perfect balance.
EAU DE CAMPAGNE BY SISLEY
A huge classic in the perfume world, with explosive tonalities! This fragrance, which came out in the 70s, was a game-changer at the time. It transports us to a kitchen garden, with the freshness of tomato leaves and the green hints of basil plants… Mmm, admit it, it’s tempting, this one, isn’t it?
FRÉDÉRIC MALLE MUSIC FOR A WHILE
This Fougère fragrance with oriental and modern notes is the perfect combination for those conquerors among you who aren’t afraid of a challenge! This is a perfume which is impossible not to have an opinion about, with its fresh lavender, wrapped up in vanilla and sensual amber touches.
EAU DE GENTIANE BLANCHE BY HERMÈS
For this eau de cologne, its creator Jean-Claude Ellena wanted to revisit traditional colognes. He thus proposed this sophisticated and surprising version – a marriage of green notes with a musky, powdery sweetness which we think is a real crowd-pleaser!
Have you heard? At Bon Parfumeur, we have a little newcomer who is ready to make their début for the start of summer!
702 is a Fougère fragrance with aromatic aspects, which reveal the beauty of its mystical incense, the freshness of its lavender and the elegance of its cashmere wood. Just a little bubble of happiness to start the summer holidays, which are more than deserved this year!
