Which concentration for which fragrance?

Every fragrance has its own concentration, but what is it exactly? Read on and we’ll explain everything!

Eau de cologne

Incredibly fresh with its characteristic citrus notes, eau de cologne has a fragrance concentration of around 2 to 5%. In other words, it’s very volatile. If you’re looking for the “boosting” effect of an eau de cologne but still want something long-lasting, try our cologne-style eaux de parfum. With their aquatic scents of sea spray, aromatic herbs and citrus fruit, they have an addictive, invigorating fragrance. Our favorite scent? Eau de parfum 001 which features a combination of sparkling bergamot and orange blossom for the heart notes and musk for the base notes.

Perfume extract

With a concentration of over 20%, perfume extract offers the highest concentration of any fragrance. It’s known for its obvious and long-lasting scent. Perfume extract is undoubtedly a powerful option. In short, if you don’t like a strong scent, it’s not for you!

Eau de parfum

With a concentration between 10 and 20%, eau de parfum is ideal for wearing every day. It offers a fairly strong scent and lasts well throughout the day. What could be better? At Bon Parfumeur, we’ve made the decision to only create eaux de parfum. Used on their own or in combination thanks to our mix and match sets, our fragrances allow you to create your own perfectly balanced scent.
