For a few days, we visited three perfumers—Jacques and Carla Chabert and Nathalie Koobus—in the heart of the Alpes-Maritimes region, in Mouans-Sartoux! Jacques took us under his wing, and we embarked on an adventure—toward mimosas!
After a few steep, hilly roads, the treetops parted, and the dazzling yellow was revealed to us. Super bright with an intensely vibrant scent! In the car, we opened the windows and enjoyed the view and smells. After 10 stops to take pictures (it was so beautiful..) we arrived in Tanneron. We found ourselves perched in the trees, cutting branches of bright yellow to take back with us to Paris.
Its scent is ultra-delicate, powdery, floral, warm and rich, with honeyed notes. Pure bliss!
Nathalie Koobus, the perfumer of 102 , was waiting for us in Mouans-Sartoux. She explained that she had always been moved by these flowers and that her inspiration for 102 came directly from this valley! Naturally, it was the mimosa from the South of France that she highlighted in this special fragrance. For her, these brilliant flowers herald the arrival of beautiful days.
